An end to the WII shortage?

After a year and a half of the Nintendo Wii being released inside the United States, it may finally become possible for anybody to get their hands on one. Nobody knows for sure why the Nintendo Wii was so hard to find here in the states, but one reporter, Victor Godinez of the Dallas Morning News, thinks the fault lies in the weakness of the declining value of the U.S. dollar.

How to: watch Youtube videos in High Resolution

In the past, youtube has been known for limiting resolution to conserve bandwidth, but this may not be the case for long. Youtube is now in the process of testing and developing the steps required to provide higher quality videos. The project was announced last year by the Youtube co-founder Steve Chen, and now appears to be in the earliest stages of deployment. By simply adding &fmt=6 onto the end of the video’s URL, you are able to view the video in high resolution and the difference is amazing!

It seems that Youtube will now convert all newly uploaded videos about an hour or so after uploading into high resolution, and they are also in the process of converting all of the millions of other videos hosted on their site into high resolution, although this may take quite along time to do. It seems so far that about 1 out of every 5 videos are now available in high resolution.
