Whistler/Blackcomb, B.C.
10/10
Located in the spectacular Coast Mountains of British Columbia, is Whistler, Canada’s premier, year-round destination.
Consistently ranked the number one resort in North America, Whistler features two spectacular mountains ( Whistler and Blackcomb), epic skiing conditions, four championship golf courses, more than 200 shops, 90 restaurants and bars, accommodations galore, hiking trails, spas and arguably the best mountain bike park in the world. In short, Whistler has everything you could possibly need for the time of your life - and so much more.
Accommodation
Whistler has hundreds of places to stay during your adventures at whistler, but out of all the times I have visited Whistler, my favorite has been the Marquise. I highly recommend this place because its just a short bus ride (buses run 6 A.M. to 3 A.M. free of charge) to Whistler Village, of course there is a pool, jacuzzi and game room, and the rooms are very comfortable and classy, but still have a very affordable price. Unless your are looking for a room fit for the Queen, and are looking to spend a fortune on a room, the Marquise is definitely the best value that I have found during my stays in Whistler.
The Village
Whistler village sits at the foot of Whistler and Blackcomb and features over 200 shops, 90 restaurants and bars, as well as a Town Hall, Fire and Police station, a Library, several grocery stores, and a Museum. Whistler village is basically a giant High-Class outdoor mall that boasts amazing design and architecture, and with its year-round festivals and events, its no wonder Whistler is repeatedly ranked #1 for Night Life at a Ski Resort. Its great to spend your days up on the mountain, go home take a shower, and come back into Whistler Village to spend your nights exploring, shopping, and enjoying the local culture.
